Tough weekend for GPRC volleyball teams, Cross Country women claim provincial bronze

Home court was not the advantage that GPRC Volleyball teams were hoping it would be this past weekend, as they went a combined 0-for-4 against NAIT.

On Friday, NAIT knocked off the GPRC Women’s team in three straight (25-17, 25-18, 25-21), while the GPRC men also fell in three straight (25-14, 25-20, 25-19).

On Saturday, the GPRC women did have a two games to one lead at one point before eventually falling in five games to the Ooks (22-25, 25-22, 16-25, 25-22, 15-11).

The men’s game saw NAIT win in three straight again (27-25, 25-16, 25-19).

Meanwhile, there was some good news from the GPRC Cross Country running team, as they took part in the ACAC provincials in Calgary.

The GPRC men would finish 5th in their team competition.

The Wolves’ Cross Country team will host CCAA Nationals in two weeks time at Muskoseepi Park.
