A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Sylvan Lake man accused of killing his father.
Patrick William Freeman, 28, is charged with first-degree murder in the June 24 death of his father Patrick Alexander Freeman, who was 52.
RCMP responded at about 4 p.m. that day to a complaint in Lacombe County. Upon arrival, officers found the elder Freeman suffering from “significant injuries.” He was airlifted by STARS to a Calgary hospital but later died.
The younger Freeman, who is in custody at the Red Deer Remand Centre, will face a preliminary hearing on May 28-29, 2020 in Rimbey provincial court.
