Kijiji user spots stolen property, leads to arrest of suspect

Grande Prairie RCMP arrested a 26-year-old male on Monday, October 28 after stolen property was being advertised for sale on Kijiji.

A man reported that the property for sale matched the serial number for property that had been previously stolen from him.

The RCMP found the suspect at a local gas station at around 5:15 p.m. yesterday and was arrested without incident, where the stolen items were then recovered.

RCMP are reminding people to record serial numbers of any important and valuable items, as the likelihood of recovery if lost or stolen is much higher.
