Oct 30, 2019 | 5:30 AM

One of the two people charged after the abduction of three kids in Fox Creek prompted an Amber Alert is due back in court December 23 after pleading guilty to four of the six charges she was facing.

Alberta Justice says Charmaine Annette Darnel admitted to charges that include assault, threats to cause death or bodily harm, housebreaking with intent, and abduction of a person under 16.

Two other charges of abduction of a person under 16 will be addressed during her next court appearance.

Darnel, from Whitecourt and the children’s mother, was charged after the three kids, who were four years, three years, and nine-months-old at the time, were taken from a Fox Creek home around 1:30 a.m. on June 1 this year. They were located around 7 a.m. the same day near Sylvan Lake.
