RCMP seek assistance in identifying armed robbery suspect

Grande Prairie RCMP are searching for an armed robber, and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Source Adult Video store on 100 Avenue.

The suspect entered the business, covering his face and carrying a weapon. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured in the incident.

The RCMP attended the scene, along with Police Dog Services, Forensic Identification Section, and the General Investigation Section, though the suspect was not apprehended, and the investigation is ongoing.

The RCMP are asking the public to come forward with information on the suspect, who is a Caucasian man. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing blue jeans, a black hooded sweater with grey and red sleeves, a lighter coloured ball cap, and dark boots. He was also carrying a dark coloured drawstring bag.

Mounties are asking anyone with information on the suspect or the robbery to contact them at 780-830-5701 or report it anonymously to crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
