van der Giessen named to ACAC All-Conference Team

Anna van der Giessen has added some more hardware ahead of the CCAA Cross Country Nationals being held next weekend here in Grande Prairie.

Coming off a bronze medal team performance for her and her Wolves teammates at the ACAC championships on Saturday in Calgary, the Bezanson product also returned home as one of seven female runners to be named to the ACAC All-Conference team.

The honour comes as the third-year Nursing student placed fourth individually in Saturday’s final run of the ACAC season, which was her highest finish of the 2019 campaign.

van der Giessen and the Wolves will be hosting the Canadian college championships, which go on November 9 in Muskoseepi Park.
