All GPAC and PCFAC teams see action on GPAC day at Coke Centre

The Coca Cola Centre was a buzz with action on Saturday as the Grande Peace Athletic Club and Peace Country Female Athletic Club combined to host Hockey Day.

All GPAC and PCFAC teams saw action at the twinned ice sheet facility.

The Ernie’s Sports Experts Major Midget Storm continued their strong start to the season with a 4-3 win over Lethbridge.

Hudson Foley scored twice for the Storm while Dayne Tews and Connor Klassen added singles.

The news was not as good for the Golden Arrow Bantam AAA’s and Boston Pizza Minor Midget AAA’s, as they both lost to Lloydminster.

The Bantam AAA’s fell 6-3, as Jaxon Young with two and Kyler Watson provided the scoring.

Damian Switzer had the only goal as the U-16s fell 3-1.

The Midget AA Storm got goals from 10 different players in a 10-6 win over Whitecourt.

Mason Kyllo had a goal and five assists to lead the way, while Tuff Dreger, Tyler Buchberger, Colton Burke, Benjamin Schmidt, Alex Lopez, Liam Morrow, Aiden Brown, Denon Bamber and Jaydon Gordey also added goals.

And a battle of all-GPAC Bantam AA teams saw Higson Dental Group beat Dreger Racing team 5-2.

Nathan Sanregret scored twice while Bowen Grycan added a goal and two assists for Higson Dental Group, who also got goals from Joshua Stinson and Dale Horseman.

Ryan St. Germaine and Hicham Saurer replied for Dreger Racing Team.

As for the PCFAC teams, the Bonnett’s Bantam Elite Female Storm dropped a 7-6 decision to North Central Impact.

Molly Hamilton, Victoria Willsey and Karsyn Utz each had a goal and an assist for the Storm, while Bradlee Fisher, Sarah Kjemhus and Maggie-Kate Fitzpatrick also added goals.

Meanwhile the PCFAC Midget Elite Female Storm doubled up Red Deer 4-2.
