Weather postpones provincial football games to Monday

The three provincial playoff football games scheduled for this weekend at CKC Field have been postponed due to the inclement weather the Peace Country is experiencing.

All three games will now be played on Monday, November 11 at CKC Field.

The Bantam Tier II semifinal game between the Grande Prairie Broncos and Lloydminster Red Dogs that was supposed to be played on Sunday will now go at 10 a.m. on Monday.

That will be followed by the Tier II High School North region semifinal between the St. Joe’s Celtics and the Austin O’Brien Crusaders from Edmonton at 12:30 p.m. That game was originally scheduled for Saturday.

The third and final game of the day, which was also scheduled for Saturday, will be a Tier I region semi between the Fort McMurray Saints and the GP Comp Warriors. That game will be played at 3 p.m.
