Nov 10, 2019 | 8:38 AM

After the all-stars shined on Friday night, all six teams in the NWJHL took center stage on day two of the league’s Showcase event at Crosslink County Sportsplex.

Tulsen Fawcett and Keegan Ferguson each scored twice as the North Peace Navigators opened the day with a 7-2 win over Dawson Creek.

Dylan Bellerose, Levi Pichette and Jonathan Noskey also scored for the Navigators, who briefly moved into first place in the league with the win.

Brandon Rowley and Andrew Davidse replied for the Junior Canucks.

The Navigators time in first place lasted only a few hours, as the Fort St John Huskies took back top spot after a convincing 9-2 win over the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers.

Cooper Willms had a hat trick to pace the Huskies attack, while Geoff Dick (2), Jared Winkel, Nick Loewen, Brady Marzocco and Connor Kindrat also added goals.

Thomas LaValley and Tom Willey replied for the Vipers.

The night game saw Fairview pull out a 3-1 win over the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings.

Cale Fox, Eric Dentinger and Remee Richard scored for the Flyers, who pulled into a second place tie with North Peace with the win.

Tannery Davy spoiled Mason Ward’s shutout bid with just under five minutes remaining in the third period.

Three more games are on tap for Sunday, as the Flyers and Huskies will collide in a first place showdown to kick the day off at 1 pm.

The Kings take on North Peace at 4, while Dawson Creek and Sexsmith will wrap up the weekend with an 8 pm faceoff.
