Storm look to start winning streak as Wolverines visit GP

With the weight of an eight-game losing skid now off the shoulders of the Grande Prairie Storm, the team will be looking to make it two wins in a row when they host the Whitecourt Wolverines tonight.

The Storm were able to pick up their first win since October 9 with a victory at home on Friday over the Fort McMurray Oil Barons by a score of 5-2. The win broke a stretch in which the team went 0-7-1.

Coming into Revolution Place tonight is a Whitecourt squad that has four straight, all of which have come against the MOB. The Wolverines also sit comfortably in fourth place in the AJHL’s North Division standings with a 11-7-2 record.

It’ll be the second meeting of the season between the two clubs, the first of which to go in the Swan City. The Storm pulled out a 2-1 shootout victory in Whitecourt back on September 17.
