Fire breaks out at north end business Tuesday night
The Grande Prairie Fire Department continues to investigate a fire that broke out at a commercial business on the City’s north end Tuesday night.
The building, located on 112 Ave near 99 Street, was fully engulfed in flames as crews arrived at the scene. Due to the significance of the fire and the damage to the roof, crews were unable to enter the building at the time of arrival.
The Fire Department responded with two trucks, a ladder and one chief unit. As of 5:00 Wednesday morning, the ladder truck was still working at the scene.
Traffic in that area was being diverted away Tuesday night by RCMP and Peace Officers as crews worked to put out the blaze. All roads are now fully re-opened to traffic.
