A's Stay Unbeaten

Athletics stay perfect on season with win over Falher

Nov 15, 2019 | 12:04 PM

The Grande Prairie Athletics are still perfect to open the 2019-2020 North Peace Hockey League season.

Thanks to a hat trick from Sam Bosek, the A’s moved to 4-0 to open the new campaign with a 7-4 over the Pirates in Falher Thursday night.

Tyrone Kipling, Bruce Lipinskie and Max McNeil also added goals for the A’s in the win.

One other game saw the Manning Comets hold off the Grimshaw Huskies for a 6-5 win. It is the first official win of the season for the Comets, after their win on November 2 over High prairie was wiped up because of the regals having to leave the league.

Grimshaw falls to 0-2-1 on the year.

The NPHL will be on hiatus until next Thursday, when the Pirates travel to Dawson Creek to face the Canucks. The A’s next action will be November 23, when they host the Huskies at the Coke Centre.
