Nov 16, 2019 | 7:33 AM

The monkey is off the back of both the GPRC men’s and women’s basketball teams, as both teams picked up their first win of the season on Friday night.

The men got 25 points from Liam O’Hallahan and 14 from Jeremy Pynn in a 66-63 win over King’s University College.

Meanwhile, Sophie Leslie had 19 points, as the GPRC Women outscored their King’s opposition 20-8 in the final quarter en route to a 56-52 win.

Rematches are set for Saturday at GPRC Gym, starting with the women’s game at 1pm.

The volleyball teams are in Edmonton this weekend to face Concordia University, with the GPRC women picking up a 3 games to 1 win (25-23, 25-19, 26-28, 25-18).

Megan Fowler had 14 kills to lead the Wolves’ attack.

The news was not as good for the men’s team, as they were swept in three straight (25-20, 25-14, 25-12).

The two schools meet again Saturday afternoon in Edmonton.
