Storm begin three game weekend in Lloydminster Friday

The Grande Prairie Storm are back on the road for yet another three game, three-day road trip this weekend, starting tonight in the Border City as they tangle with the Lloydminster Bobcats.

It’ll be the first of a double header with the Bobcats. The Storm will close out their trip on Sunday afternoon at the Grant Fuhr Arena for a date with the Spruce Grove Saints.

The Storm will be looking to regain some of the momentum they had started to gain, following two straight wins on November 8 and 12 over both Fort McMurray and Whitecourt. The wins snapped an eight-game losing skid.

However, the Storm dropped both their games to the Wolverines and Sherwood Park Crusaders last weekend, to start yet another losing streak.

There may be no better opponent for the Storm to get back in the win column, as the Bobcats have a lock on last place in the AJHL’s North Division, with just three wins in 24 games this season. The Storm are also 2-0 against them this season, posting wins on September 20 and 21 at Revolution Place.

Puck drop tonight is at 7:30 and can be streamed on Hockey TV.
