Transport Minister Marc Garneau says a train is on its way to Quebec from Edmonton with a supply of propane after the province declared it was running out during the CN Rail strike.
Meantime, talks continue to end the strike, which is in its fourth day.
Garneau spoke at federally-mediated contract talks in Montreal.
He again rejected back-to-work legislation.
There are 3,200 CN employees off the job.
