GPRC Volleyball teams lose marathon matches at home while basketball falls in Fort McMurray

It was another tough night for GPRC sports teams as they went a combined 0-and-4 on Friday.

The volleyball teams were home to the University of Alberta at Augustana, where both local clubs dropped 5 set marathons.

Megan Fowler had 21 points (15 kills, 4 blocks, 2 service aces) as the women’s team fell 25-15, 20-25. 25-21, 26-28, 15-6.

On the men’s side, Tristan Moon had 15 points (10 kills, 4 blocks, 1 service ace) as GPRC battled back from down two games to none to fall in five (25-18, 25-19, 23-25, 20-25, 15-12).

Rematches are set for Saturday afternoon at GPRC Gymnasium.
