Bantam AAA Storm romp to convincing win

Zackery Shantz recorded a hat trick while Spencer Rheaume chipped in with three assists to lead the Golden Arrow Bantam AAA Storm to a 6-1 win over Leduc on Saturday.

Devon Barclay, Carter Hensch, and Reis Nyland also scored for the Storm, who pulled into a first place tie with Leduc and Lloydminster in the AMBHL Charger North Division.

The two teams meet again Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, the Ernie’s Sports Experts Major Midget Storm saw a 3-1 lead evaporate in the final 14 seconds, as Leduc scored twice late to salvage a 3-3 tie.

Campbell Mclean, Ethan Boutcher and Cam Wiebe scored for the Midget Storm.
