A team out of Sexsmith skipped by Graham Powell won the Competitive Division title over the weekend at the Dawson Creek Cash Spiel, the fourth stop for the Peace Curling Tour.

Powell drew the four foot with his last shot of the final to clinch a win over Edmonton’s Shawn Donnelly.

Grande Prairie’s Cortland Sonnenberg rink won the Challenge Division.

The Destiny Vandale rink from Tumbler Ridge won the Junior Division and is now the Tour leader in that category.

Two Special Olympics teams, one each from Dawson Creek and Fort St. John also played their first Tour games and will take part in future events as well.

The next stop for the Peace Curling Tour will be the Fort St. John Cash Spiel December 6 to 8. The Tour Championship goes January 10 through 12 in Sexsmith.
