The AMHL has named GPAC Ernie’s Sports Midget AAA Storm forward Ty Toews their player of the month for November.

During the last month, Toews contributed 2 goals and 10 assists in 9 games with the Storm helping lead them to a 6-2-1 record in the month of November.

Bob Olynyk, the President of the AMHL had high praise for Toews.

“Toews is an excellent 2-way player and has a significant impact on both power play and penalty kill units. He also displays exceptional leadership qualities, as he is a leading voice in the dressing room as well as on the ice.”

Ty Toews continues to add to the list of accolades for the GPAC Storm this season. Last month, Zackary Shantz of the GPAC Golden Arrow Bantam AAA Storm, won the WHL Prospect of the Month award for October in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League.

GPAC Ernie’s Sports Midget AAA Storm will be back in action this Saturday as they take on the Calgary Buffaloes. Puck drop is at 2:30 p.m. at the Coke Centre.
