BC Peace cowboy competing at NFR

A Peace Region cowboy will be among those competing when the National Finals Rodeo starts Thursday night in Las Vegas.

Hudson’s Hope saddle bronc rider Jake Watson goes into the NFR eighth in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association standings.

Albertan Zeke Thurston is second in the saddle broncs while fellow Albertan Dawson Hay is tenth.

Four other Canadians will also be competing in Vegas. They are Manitoba’s Orin Larsen and Alberta’s Clint Laye in barebacks and Albertans Scott Guenther in steer wrestling and Jordan Hansen in bull riding.

NFR will run through December 15.
