Corban Doram scored twice as the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings won their fifth straight, knocking off league leading Fort St John 3-2.

Keaton Mercredi also scored for the Kings, while Gary Loewen and Brady Marzocco replied for the Huskies.

There were two other games in the NWJHL on Saturday, including Rylee Hebert recording a goal and two assists as the Fairview Flyers beat the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers 5-1.

Spencer Bjorklund, Sage Joachin, Zacheri Schlachter, and Dawson Blanchette also scored for the Flyers, while Kai Magnusson replied for the Vipers.

The other game saw Robert Lemay score once and add four assists, while Cole Isaac scored the winner at 2:08 of overtime to give the North Peace Navigators a 6-5 win over Dawson Creek.

Dylan Bellerose, Jonathan Noskey, Kevin Schlack, and Austin Doan also scored for the Navigators, while Mason McLeod (2), Dustin Bahm, Tanner Bahm, and Ethana Buck replied for the Junior Canucks.

Brendan Baumgartner scored twice to lead the Manning Comets to a 4-2 win in Falher in North Peace Hockey League action on Saturday.

Brett Nicklason and Josh Rutherford also scored for the Comets, while Trevor Tokarz and Hector Lamouche replied for the Pirates.

The other game in the league saw Dawson Creek beat Grimshaw 7-3.

The Calgary Buffaloes knocked off the Ernie’s Sports Experts Major Midget Storm 3-1 at the Coke Centre on Saturday afternoon.

Dayne Tews had the lone goal for the Storm, who host Red Deer at 2:30 pm on Sunday at the Coke Centre

The Boston Pizza Minor Midget AAA Storm got two goals from Rhys Doyle in a 4-3 win over Maple Leaf Athletic Club.

Levi Pratt and Kyle Maloney also scored for the Storm., who host MLAC again on Sunday at noon at the Coke Centre.

Meanwhile, the Midget AA Storm fell 8-2 to South Side Athletic Club out of Edmonton.

Alex Lopez and Aiden Brown had the goals for the AA Midget Storm.

The PCFAC Midget Elite Storm fell 4-2 at home to Lloydminster.

Jailyn Bablitz and Josee Stewart scored for the Female Storm.
