Canucks double up Comets in NPHL

Dawson Creek Canucks scored five unanswered goals en route to a 6-3 win over the Manning Comets in NPHL play on Friday night.

Wes Shipton and Kevin Hope each scored twice for the Canucks (7-1), while Brett Norman and Stefan Wood each added singles.

Dave Lawrence, Michael Gillen and Josh Rutherford replied for the Comets (2-5).

The two teams will meet again on Saturday, this time though in Dawson Creek.

Also on Saturday, Grimshaw will travel to Grande Prairie to take on the Athletics.
