Four people arrested in Grande Prairie stolen mail investigation

Grande Prairie RCMP have recovered numerous items of stolen mail, following the execution of a search warrant on December 19 at a home in the Swan City.

A recent investigation that was centred around the rash of mail theft the city has been experiencing led the Grande Prairie Drug Unit and General Duty members to search the home on Thursday.

Stolen mail from Grande Prairie and surrounding area was located during the search, as well as what police are calling a forgery operation. Items related to the forgery operation that were recovered include:

• Personal government identification
• Cheque books
• Personal documents
• Forged identification
• Cheques
• Blank credit cards

RCMP say four adults, two males and two females were arrested at the home but have not been charged at this time. The names of the individuals were not released.
