Passionate Heart Awards return for 2020

Dec 30, 2019 | 5:30 AM

The Passionate Heart Awards are back for another year.

The awards give members of the community in the Peace Region an opportunity to nominate somebody who show exceptional service for front-line staff.

“The passionate heart awards are nominations for people and organizations who contribute significantly to the community and are dedicated to help quality of life,” said Anna Stewart, the Home Support Coordinator for the City of Grande Prairie.

The people who are nominated for the awards come from the following:

  • Police Services
  • Child and Family Services
  • Youth Services
  • Social Services
  • Education

The award winners are selected by a committee from the different surrounding areas of the Peace Region. The committee gets together and looks over all the applications, goes through a process and then determines the winners.

The award winners and nominees are also treated to a luncheon on February 14 at Revolution Place. The lunch will have guest speakers, and will also be where they hand out the awards.

If you’re interested in nominating somebody for the award you can click here and fill out the application. The deadline for nominations is January 17.
