MD of Greenview takes over Multiplex operations

The Municipal District of Greenview has come to an agreement with the Town of Valleyview to take over operations of the Greenview Regional Multiplex.
The Town was in charge of the Multiplex, but the new agreement will see the M.D. assume management of the regional recreation and cultural facility. This change will allow the Town to focus more resources and efforts within the community. Current Multiplex staff will stay on, and will now be employees of Greenview.
“The amalgamation of the Regional Multiplex into the operations of the Greenview is another example of the positive outcomes that can be achieved when municipalities work together,” said MD of Greenview Reeve Dale Smith, in a statement. “This collaboration has helped to strengthen the significant relationship we have with the Town of Valleyview and helps to ensure that this state of the art facility continues to serve residents across the region.”
“Once again, the MD of Greenview and the Town of Valleyview serve as a shining example demonstrating how municipalities can collaborate together to offer services and facilities that make our region better for all residents,” said Vern Lymburner, Mayor of Valleyview in a press release. “We wish the MD great success as they venture into this new endeavour and are excited that with existing staff remaining, all patrons and visitors will continue to receive the amazing service and programming available at the Multiplex.”
