Jan 6, 2020 | 4:11 PM
Northreach Society says in a Facebook post that its supervised consumption site is open again. Mechanical issues forced it to close for repairs on Friday.
Northreach says on its website that from March 11 to November 30 last year, 210 people used the site 7,495 times. Staff responded to 120 overdoses and there were no deaths.
There have also been 600 referrals during that time to other health and social agencies. That includes 46 to programs for people addicted to opioids, 39 to detox, and 22 for other forms of treatment.
