Fatal collision east of Coaldale claims one life

COALDALE – A two vehicle collision east of Coaldale about 8:00 Monday (Jan 6) night claimed one life and sent another person to hospital.
Coaldale Fire and RCMP were dispatched to the collision, involving a truck and a van, at the junction of Highway-3 and Highway-512 near the McCain’s plant at Chin
One of the occupants of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the second occupant of the truck was treated on scene by EMS. The lone occupant of the van was pronounced deceased at the scene. The name of the deceased will not be released.
Coaldale RCMP, along with an RCMP Collision Analyst, continue to investigate.
