Jan 7, 2020 | 5:14 AM

UPDATE (10:00 a.m. Jan. 8): The snowfall warning for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge and Valleyview areas has ended. The snowfall warning has also ended for Grande Cache, Whitecourt and Fox Creek.

A snowfall warning has been put in place Tuesday morning by Environment and Climate Change Canada for Grande Prairie and area.

10 to 15 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in the Swan City, as well as in the areas around Beaverlodge, Valleyview, Grande Cache, Fox Creek and Whitecourt by Wednesday afternoon.

The weather office says a pacific weather system will move across Alberta starting Tuesday afternoon and is expected to move eastward towards Edmonton through the overnight hours. They say the snowfall warning could be expanded as the system develops.
