Grande Prairie RCMP say a traffic stop led to the recovery of stolen Canada Post keys and numerous charges against two people.

Police were on patrol near some mailboxes around 1 a.m. January 5 when they noticed what they call a suspicious vehicle.

Mounties arrested a man and woman and recovered two Canada Post keys, bear spray, and tools used in break-ins.

Two people from Grande Prairie have been charged.

28-year old Matthew Gilbert is facing 14 charges, possession of stolen property, failure to comply with conditions and failure to comply with a probation order among them.

19-year-old Teanna Moyles is facing 17 charges, including 11 of failure to comply with release conditions, along with possession of a Canada Post key with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Both are in custody and are due in court Wednesday, January 8.
