The provincial government is looking for public input on the future of agricultural research in Alberta.

Six public engagement session will be held around Alberta this month, including one in Grande Prairie on January 17. It will go from 2 to 4 p.m. in Room A210 at GPRC.

The province says in a news release it wants to work with producers to find out what their priorities are when it comes to research, adding this is a time to transform it and attract interest from private businesses.

“I see world-leading agricultural research happening here, either by leveraging work happening in existing facilities or building brand new ones,” said Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Devin Dreeshen, in the release.
