Edmonton’s old Baccarat Casino to be demolished

It’s game over for Edmonton’s old Baccarat Casino in the city’s new arena district.
The downtown building, which has been vacant since 2016, is to be demolished within the next month.
Tim Shipton with the Oilers Entertainment Group says the Baccarat has become an eyesore.
He says demolition will take about a week, and the land will be turned into a temporary parking lot and interactive space, possibly for art displays.
