Alberta Scotties Day 1 wrap

All the teams with Peace Region players lost their Draw 2 match-ups Wednesday night at the Alberta Scotties in Okotoks.

Kayla Skrlik lost 10-6 to Krysta Hilker, Laura Walker beat Marla Sherrer 9-2, Kelsey Rocque got by Nicky Kaufman 5-3, and Jodi Vaughn defeated Casey Scheidegger 5-4.

Skrlik is now 1-1. Scheidegger, Kaufman, and Sherrer are 0-2.

Walker, Hilker, and Rocque are all 2-0 and tied for first place after Day 1.

In Draw 1, a pair of four-enders gave Hilker a 12-5 win over Scheidegger. Walker beat Kaufman 12-10 in an extra end, Rocque defeated Sherrer 7-5, and Skrlik beat Vaughn 9-3.
