GPRC Basketball and Volleyball returns

Men’s and Women’s Basketball

The Grande Prairie Regional College men’s and women’s basketball teams are returning to action for the first time in over a month. The last time the GPRC basketball team’s played was the weekend of December 6 and 7.

The men’s and women’s team have both struggled this season as they both have 1-13 records.

Tonight and Saturday they will play their rivals from Fort McMurray, the Keyano College Huskies.

The Huskies have dominated the court on both the men’s and women’s side. The teams both sit first place in the North Division.

The women’s team tip off their game at 6:00 p.m. and the men will play after at 8:00 p.m. Both games are at the GPRC gym.

Men’s and Women’s Volleyball

The GPRC Volleyball teams are both in Fort McMurray to face the Huskies.

The men’s team is coming off a weekend series split against the Concordia Thunder. They have a record of 4-12, which is second last in the north division.

The women’s team pulled off a weekend sweep over the Thunder. Following the two wins they now sit fourth in the north division with 12 points.

Tonight’s games get underway from Fort McMurray with the women starting at 6:00 p.m. and the men playing at 8:00 p.m.
