Murder charges laid in Peace River homicide

A lengthy investigation by the RCMP Major Crimes unit has led to murder charges being laid in a Peace River homicide case.

Matthew Ian Blachford has been charged with second degree murder in the death of Peace River resident Victorine Jennifer Donovan.

The body of the 37 year old Donovan was located in the early morning hours of October 8th of last year.

Blachford is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
