Snowmobiler missing after Chetwynd-area avalanche

Chetwynd RCMP say one person is missing after an avalanche southwest of that community on Sunday.

Mounties say they were notified of an emergency beacon signal coming from the east side of the Murray Mountain range.

A group of snowmobilers was in the area. One man is missing.

Search & Rescue was called in, but the search was called off because of the risk of more avalanches.
