Storm hit the road looking to end slide

Feb 7, 2020 | 12:37 PM

The Grande Prairie Storm will look to end their five-game losing streak this weekend as they hit the road for a three game in three day road trip.

Tonight, the Storm head into Drayton Valley to play the Thunder. The Storm sit sixth place in the in the AJHL North Division with 42 points. Three points up on Fort McMurray and seven points back of the fifth place Thunder.

During the Storm’s slump, they’ve only been able to register six goals in five games.

The two teams last met in Drayton Valley on January 10 and 11, where the Storm were swept in a weekend series by the Thunder.

Drayton Valley will be looking to end a mini slump of their own, as the Thunder have dropped back-to-back games to Spruce Grove and Camrose.

The road trip continues Saturday, when the Storm look to respond from their disappointing weekend series against the Sherwood Park Crusaders last week.

Sunday the team travels to Spruce Grove for an afternoon tilt with the Saints.

Puck drop for Friday’s game is 7:00 p.m.
