Jay Anderson scored three times, including the game winner at the 10 second mark of overtime, to give the Falher Pirates a 4-3 win over Grimshaw in game three of the NPHL opening round playoff series.

Walker Cote had the other goal for the Pirates, who now have a two games to one lead in the best of 5 series, with game four set for Tuesday night in Grimshaw.

Ty Wiebe, Brendan Hawryluk and Al mazur replied for the Huskies.

Rylee Hebert’s second goal of the night at the 21 second mark of overtime was the winner, as the Fairview Flyers battled back from a 6-4. third period deficit to beat the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings 7-6 in NWJHL action.

Tyler Wirth, Dillon Wagner, Zacheri Schlachter, Sage Joachim and Thomas Dechant also scored for the Flyers, while Eric Dentinger added four assists.

Geoff Dick, Keaton Mercredi, Jeremy Niven, Corbin Doram, Cody Graw and Darby Berg replied for the Kings.

One other game in the NWJHL saw the North Peace Navigators snap the Fort St John Huskies’ 16 game winning streak, beating the Huskies 4-2.

Robert Lemay and Dawson Gour each scored twice for the Navigators.

Gary Loewen and Brady Marzocco replied for the Huskies, who suffered their first loss since December 7th.

Ethan Boutcher and Jayden Watson scored for the Ernie’s Sports Experts GPAC Major midget Storm as they dropped a 4-2 decision in Okotoks on Saturday night.

They visit the Calgary Flames on Sunday.

The Boston Pizza U-16 AAA Storm fell 4-2 to Edmonton CAC, as Adam morrow and Olen Nordhagen had the goals for the Storm.

Higson Dental group Bantam AA Storm dropped a 7-5 decision in Beaumont, as Joshua Galla scored twice for the Storm, while Brock Robertson, Jett Fogle and Austin Boyd added singles.

Meanwhile, Isaian Wilson scored twice and Ryan St. Germaine added a single as the Dreger Racing Team Bantam AA Storm fell 7-3 to Sturgeon.

And Kamryn Aebly scored twice to give her a league leading 24 goals on the season as the Bonnett’s PCFAC Bantam Female Elite storm picked up a 7-4 win over Olds in Red Deer.

Ciara Ferguson also scored twice, while Molly Hamilton, Victoria Willsey and Sydney Hartman added singles.
