Two Grande Prairie residents have been arrested and drugs have been seized following a lengthy investigation and search warrant execution.

In October 2019, the Grande Prairie Municipal Drug Section began an investigation into drug trafficking at a local residence. On February 7 of this year, a search warrant was executed that resulted in the seizure of over one kilogram of fentanyl, 407 grams of cocaine, 265 grams of methamphetamine and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the drugs seized had been concealed in different ‘secret stash’ containers that were scattered throughout the residence.

Sixty-year-old Paul Unrau and 32-year-old Andrea Napesis have been arrested and face charges of possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime over $5000.
