Grande Prairie second highest selling Valentine’s Day gift market for Walmart Canada

Grande Prairie is the second top-selling Valentine’s Day gift market for Walmart Canada.

Plush toys, Valentine’s Day trading cards and novelty gag gifts make up the top three for the most popular items sold at the Grande Prairie Walmart.

The store manager for the Grande Prairie Walmart says that the city has been very consistent, having not only been one of the top stores this year, but also topping the charts the year prior.

Statistics provided by Walmart show that in Canada, Alberta spends the most on Valentine’s Day with an average of $95, noting “cold climate – warm hearts”. Ontario has an average of $76, and Quebec is at $84.

They add that majority of the gift shopping is done one to two weeks before February 14.
