Manslaughter guilty plea in Peace Region murder case

Alberta Justice says a preliminary hearing in a Peace Region murder case has ended with a guilty plea to a charge of manslaughter with a firearm.

Randy Stephen Fiddler entered the plea Wednesday in Grande Prairie court. A preliminary hearing that was scheduled to last five days had started Monday.

Fiddler was charged after the April 23, 2019 death or Merna Fiddler at a rural home near Bezanson

Sentencing is set for July 7.
