AHS reporting 25 deaths due to influenza this season
MEDICINE HAT, AB — Alberta Health Services says two more people have died from influenza in the past week.
According to the weekly influenza report released on Thursday, the deaths occurred in the South Zone, which includes Medicine Hat and Lethbridge, and Edmonton, bringing the total to 25 this season.
Edmonton is currently leading Alberta in reported deaths from influenza, with 11 people dying from lab-confirmed influenza so far this season.
Four people have died in the South Zone, Calgary and the Central Zone, while two Albertans have died in northern Alberta.
