Navigators extend second place advantage over Junior Canucks

The North Peace Navigators extended their lead over Dawson Creek for second place in the NWJHL to four points on Friday night.

Robert Lemay scored twice in regulation to help the Navigators to a 4-3 overtime win over the Junior Canucks.

Phoenix Dumas had the other regulation goal for North Peace. The OT winner was not available on the league’s website.

Raymond Prive, Dustin Bahm and Brandon Rowley replied for Dawson Creek.

The other game in the league saw Cayden Frenette score the winner in the second period as league leading Fort St John edged Fairview 2-1.

Oscar Burgess also scored for the Huskies, while Zacheri Schlachter replied for the Flyers.

There are three games in the NWJHL on Saturday, as Dawson Creek visits the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers, the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings travel to Fairview, and Fort St John heads to Peace River to face the Navigators.
