GPRC volleyball splits at home while basketball is swept in Edmonton

GPRC volleyball and basketball teams are facing King’s University college teams this weekend.

Volleyball matchups are taking place at GPRC gym, with the men winning their match on Friday by a 3 games to 1 score (25-22, 20-25, 25-21, 27-25).

Ethan Nashim had 14 points (13 kills, 1 service ace) to lead the Wolves’ attack.

The women were not as fortunate, as they were swept in three straight (19-25, 23-25, 15-25).

Leah Friesen had 13 points (10 kills, 2 blocks, 1 service ace) to lead the way for GPRC.

Basketball matches between the two schools is taking place in Edmonton this weekend.

GPRC dropped both matches, 99-78 on the men’s side and 76-69 in the women’s game.

Liam O’Hallahan had 24 points to lead the men’s game while Caitlin Paul led the GPRC women with 19 points.
