Feb 24, 2020 | 4:14 PM

The Grande Prairie Rural RCMP, working in partnership with the Grande Prairie Crime Reduction Unit, executed a Search Warrant on a rural property in Teepee Creek on Wednesday, February 19.

The search turned up approximately $200,000 in stolen goods, including: six vehicles, a holiday trailer, three guns, a machete, numerous high end rims and tires, generators, an air compressor, and other miscellaneous hand tools.

A majority of the stolen property has already been returned to the proper owners.

A male and female were arrested without incident on the scene.

Darren Farnsworth (43) of Grande Prairie was arrested on a number of outstanding warrants. He has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, Fail to Comply with a Probation Order, and Breach of a Recognizance.

Lacey Johnson (33), also of Grande Prairie, has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, and Breach of an Undertaking.

A 46-year-old male and 26-year-old female, both un-named, are also facing several firearm charges in relation to the investigation.

The RCMP reminds the public to record serial numbers, or make distinct markings on their possessions, so property can be returned to its rightful owners if stolen.

They also ask that members of the public who suspect criminal activity in the community to report it to the Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5701, or the local police. Anonymous tips can also be made through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app.

Grande Prairie Rural RCMP are continuing their investigation into this case.
