The County of Grande Prairie is opening up applications for paid responders to serve at the County’s La Glace firehall.
Professional firefighting training is free, and the County is looking for trained women and men to provide fire and rescue services.
The County says all La Glace firefighters must live within 15 minutes from the La Glace Fire Station.
“You’re part of a team, you learn new skills, and you make a real difference in your community,” said District Fire Chief Dale Widsten in a press release. “No experience is necessary, and we offer lots of flexibility, so we’re willing to work around people’s abilities and schedules.”
