House Fire

No injuries reported in residential fire

The Grande Prairie Fire Department were called to a single-family residence in the South Patterson Place neighbourhood at around 11:15 a.m. on Friday, February 28, for reports of a structure fire.

Crews arrived at 9541 on 74 avenue, where smoke and flames were visible from the residence. Crews were able to make their way into the home, and extinguish the blaze.

Damage was contained to the single residence. There were no reports of injuries from either the occupants or the firefighters.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, and an investigation into the cause is currently underway.
