Mommylicious Market to return to Grande Prairie this month

Mar 1, 2020 | 7:00 AM

A family focused market is returning to Grande Prairie this month.

The Mommylicious Spring 2020 Market will be at the Pomeroy Hotel on March 15.

Mommylicious started in 2010, and is now managed and run by Chyann Coakley and Carla Dewald.

Mommylicious markets can be found throughout the province, including Fort McMurray, Airdrie, Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary.

Coakley, one of the owners, says since taking over, the markets have begun to take a more modern approach.

“If you’ve been to like, a mom-and-tot show or something like that, it was very baby focused, infant-focused type of market. Since we’ve taken over, we’ve kind of turned it into more of a family and a community event, versus just something for little kids or new moms.”

There will be several local vendors and small business owners from around the Grande Prairie region at the market, something Coakley says is essential to the Mommylicious markets.

“That is something that is super important to us, and we’re really trying to get behind small businesses in every community that we visit and give them a platform to not just have success at our market, but throughout the whole year.”

Admission is $8 a family, and pre-registration can be done here.
