Several people are now facing charges after a break and enter on a property near Holden.

At around 9:30 a.m. on February 28, Viking RCMP were alerted by a local citizen of two suspicious vehicles entering a rural property near Holden, about 100 km southeast of Edmonton. Two trucks were reported to have been trespassing, with the occupants believed to have been committing a break and enter.

Police went to the area, where three occupants of one of the trucks were arrested, while the second truck fled from the scene. Later, RCMP received a tip from the public about the location of the second truck, which was found at a rural property near Bruce. A warrant was obtained, and a fourth suspect was arrested.

Thirty-three-year-old Terrance Campbell of Grande Prairie and 27-year-old Shaymus Bennett of Fort St. John were arrested, along with two other Alberta residents.

Campbell is facing charges of:

  • Break and enter with intent
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Trespass to premises for a first offence

Bennett is facing charges of:

  • Break and enter with intent
  • Fail to comply with undertaking condition
  • Trespass to premises for a first offence

All accused have been released and are due to attend court on April 6.
