The Grande Prairie Athletics dropped game one of the NPHL final 6-3 against the Dawson Creek Canucks Tuesday night.

In the second period, the Canucks came out buzzing. LeClare would add his hat trick goal just 25 seconds into the period, while 24 seconds later Brett Norman would score for the Canucks to double their lead to 4-2.

With 13:23 gone in the second, Ryan Frisen scored to make it 5-2 Canucks. It would stay that way until the third.

In the third, the Canucks would close the game out and earn a 6-3 victory, taking game one of the best-of-seven series.
