Unemployment rate in region that takes in the Peace Country edges up

Statistics Canada says the unemployment rate for the area that takes in the area around Grande Prairie and Peace River went up in February.

It stood at 6.8 per cent last month compared to 6.5 per cent in January.

In February of 2019, the rate was at 5.1 per cent.

Stats. Can. lumps in our area with Banff, Jasper, Rocky Mountain House, and Athabasca.

Across Alberta, the unemployment rate moved to 7.2 per cent from 7 per cent in January.
